I’m not Paranoid but I Think There’s a Connection
I’d run in with them over and over, starting
when I was taking pictures during the riot
and I got this one of these three kicking shit
out of this young Paki lad and they were after me
after the Nikon. They film you obviously,
out of the copcopters, and they can find
your name and address and everything. I mean,
I’m not paranoid, but you know. So anyway this time
they made out they reckon the camera’s nicked
and kept me there all night, but once they knew
it wasn’t then they had to try and put
something else on me else I might have had
grounds against them. So I’d got a flashgun
on me and get this, it’s an offensive weapon.
I waved it under this pig’s nose in a manner
likely to cause a breach of the peace. I mean,
I didn’t even hold the thing... In court, he goes
When apprehended, the accused stated:
‘Guv, I ain’t done nothing,’
like I’m from out the fifties, man! Yeah so
I got off there, but then my lawyer goes
I might as well plead guilty
to driving without due care because you’ve got
to give them something, else they go on a vendetta
against you. I said They are on a vendetta.
But it was a conditional, so you know.
No luck with the pictures, though. I’d biked
them over to The Unaligned but were they
interested? Were they bollocks. All they
did was take my name and address,
and like thanks ever so and eff off.
