The best routes out from Hendon to Heathrow
And their children fell asleep
Muttering Mornington Crescent.
In the end she let all the air out of his four tyres.
Longing for a song in summer,
She fled, rambled awhile, then
Set up house with this Alternative Technologist
Whose talk was all of windmills,
Of sails, wind-flows and rpms
And the evening Iight's line along the distant hills.
Ronald Frank cultivates his garden in Surrey and is a compulsive traveller to remote places, hunting small plants on large mountains.
