The Haunted House
Whilst staying in this old hotel
I had a dark suspicion
So sure the place was ‘haunted’
When I saw an apparition
It scared me half to death
I tell no lies, I wasn’t faking
This thing came out of nowhere
I was absolutely shaking
Forget your clairvoyants, ‘trick or treat’
And all that spiel
I’m telling you this ghost I saw
Was definitely real!
Refused to stay the night
Made a complaint at the reception
They handed me my bill
And after very close inspection
I had to do a ‘double-take’
That thing I saw, that ‘spectre’
it must have been for real
‘cos on my bill was SPIRITS EXTRA!
