Precise — these lengths
of snapper flesh,
arranged on a black, square dish —
eight-petaled star.
I am still hungry,
my intestines in good health.
With that rigid-necked grace particular
to dancers, milady
stands, squints
at me, leaves the bar — no
shit sister-flower
forgiven, squint white
suns crack, marble
pieces, red veins
in the marbles, piece of eight, white
blood coins on
the eyes, beams kiss
the sea, what are all these kissings worth,
if thou kiss not me?
