don’t kiss me here,
The Cunning not beneath the Dali’s,
Linguist Uses kiss me under the Klee’s,
The Lure Of it’ll scan much better

you dream of Cuba
I dream of Greece,
your dreams ideological,
my dreams mythological,
can’t we dissolve
dialectics in the
moistness of kisses
and dream
of each other …?
I write you love poems,
you analyse them
for political correctness
you speculate on
the limits of friendship
across a sexual cold war,
I smile through
your dialogue,
while fantasising
my tongue raw
on your
clitoris
