The Shooting Of Selina Scott
Everything is comfortable.
Selina pouts scruffily
at the nervous foreigner on the couch,
her eyes narrowed in fake cleverness.
She yawns with her thighs and leans forward,
soaking her plebeian prey
in golden rays of early morning condescension.
She is punctuated
by a bullets exclamation mark,
the superior drawl of her words
suspended in the sudden silence.
A little slow,
her stockings continue to cross
long after her head has been removed.
