from Marconi's Bones
The radio is putting its writing in the sky.
After having had this strange dreamlike experience
write a love scene that doesn’t end up as soft porn.
The frequencies engender the territory- telling works better:
through the radio a column of phonemes marches into space.
Nothing disappears anymore, desire itself is manufactured.
He could toss his head, flick back his hair.
Imagine how she feels, how she will react.
When you are building to a climax, you may find two real people in
a very human situation. And that is all I believe a romance should do.
Desire itself disappears. Nothing is manufactured from airwaves
or circuit diagrams. The old radio in the attic might still play
but no requests.
Desire itself is insatiable because it is founded on a lack.
What does she feel when the hero kisses her
after this strange dreamlike love scene?
Each will gradually find their own public.
This is all I believe a romance should do.
Phonemes are ascending from the attic to write in the sky.
Imagine how desire itself ends up as soft porn.
