Timelight
Burning cloudscape you are so
far away; so dread this time
light the golden mountains
of disorder. Cluster near and yet
further toward the edge, this fatal
myth of recombination, fusion
and despair. See The Invisibles.
Can we fly?
The palace’s dark portal is
my desire, an orifice
a gateway - but my teacher is Death.
Language of ancient stone beyond white doors
receding visible, folding space,
becomes forever silent, like your plight
but how can we say “never listen” to
this flower of a desperate mission. This is all we have.
and so we welcome the shadow.
So incorporeal, so malleable, so plastic. As
today the rhythm sometimes dissolves
everything implicit. There are no messages.
Don’t look for salvation here
the river is too deep. The driving rain, the open window.
Stark, displaced fantasies
of exhausted vision,
of ideal ecstasy.
