Morning
Breakfast in the music room: one day
it’s quails’ eggs and crumpet, the other
it’s cereal with yoghurt and lingonberries,
then into the hail filled with light,
its sanded pine floor, the rugs from IKEA,
the hat-stand by the door. A house
with a path around it. Later I read an e-mail
from Inger Andersson of Hedengrens,
the oldest bookshop in Stockholm. I think today
I’ll write one of those poems I’ve meant to
for so long: ‘Behind the Swedish theatre …’
or ‘That shit Phil Davies ...’
