Millennianism
Bright moonlight shining through opaque clouds
Above our septic isle. Where madding crowds
Watch screaming sky rockets explode, to red
Blue and white, against a darkness in an
Unholy Baghdad of firework displays,
Welcoming us to 1999.
Whilst at wailing Babylon the ruined
Tower of Babel continuously,
Quietly, crumbles into blood and sand,
For yet another millennium of
Continual Time. While widowed mothers,
Always weep, for their massacred children.
