Weather Man
his little metallic frame
welcomed raindrops
and sticky dying insects
water looked good on him
lingering the right amount
to accept soft shadows
his law was pointing
to a prevailing emotion
as if he had no dream
or desire for blizzards
across his black brow
his honest edge turned
to the strongest wind nothing
frightened him
except doldrum skies
in neglected gardens
he offered no resistance
to the change coming
until the wind stole
his immortal soul
