I didn’t go too far in. Far enough.
Further than I bargained for, into the dark.
Have you plans to return into the dark?
I have plans not to return there,
insofar as one is able to plan
not to return into the dark.
And tell me this as regards the dark,
what did you find when you went
not too far but far enough,
further than you bargained for, into the dark?
What I found when I went into the dark,
further than I bargained for
and far enough to make me
have plans, insofar as I’m able,
never to return to it,
though I didn't go too far in,
was something darker than I bargained for
and that was dark enough.
