a water bill and a cheque from Halifax
[instant credit], a West Wales brochure
and a Saga magazine; Shirley Bassey,
on the cover; ’50 years at full throttle’;
the YMCA invite you to become
a room sponsor; there’s a bin bag
and a bag for your clothes,
a packet of sunflower seeds
and a field of wheat around your bird table.
