MARTIN ANDERSON, born 1948, now lives in Hong Kong, where he teaches Literature at the University of Hong Kong. His poems have previously appeared in various little magazines, including Honest Ulsterman & Imprint. (Hong Kong).
ANNE BERESFORD, born in Surrey, raised in London. After drama school she worked in various theatres, and also for BBC Radio. Later she taught drama in schools. She now lives in Suffolk, and has three children and one grandchild. Her first book of poems appeared in 1967,and her latest, SONGS A THRACIAN TAUGHT ME, (Marion Boyars, London & Boston), has just recently appeared, as has a small pamphlet, THE SONGS OF ALMUT from GOD’S COUNTRY, (Yoxford publications, Yoxford, Saxmundham, Suffolk) - also available from dist. AH.
ROBERT BLY, Born 1926 in Minnesota. Poet, translator, & publisher of the magazine & press that changes its name with the decade Fifties, Sixties, Seventies. He has been one of the most outspoken figures in American poetry, and is one of the few, outside of the so-called New York School, to acknowledge a debt to Surrealism. His polemical criticism is worthy of note, and makes a pleasant change from the excessively polite effusions of his contemporaries. A recent book is 40 POEMS TOUCHING ON RECENT AMERICAN HISTORY (Seventies Press - dist. Bookslinger).
MARTIN BOOTH, poet, novelist, anthologist, publisher, editor, critic. Born England 1944 & raised in Hong Kong. The author of many books of poems, he also ran for many years the Sceptre Press, which specialized in publishing fine limited editions. He now publishes under his own name, rather than under a Press imprint. His latest book of poems is DEVIL’S WINE (Colin Smythe Ltd, P0 Box 6, Gerrards Cross, Bucks. SL9 7AL). His second novel appeared in 1980 from Collins: THE BAD TRACK. He has also recently completed editing the OXFORD BOOK OF CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH AND NORTH AMERICAN VERSE, due for publication in 1981.
PHILIP CRICK, poet and critic, was born in 1918 in England. Until recently he was teaching at Garnett College of Education in Surrey, but is now devoting himself full-time to writing. His most recent book is SANDMARTIN (Platform Poets).
DAVID JAFFIN is an American now living in southern Germany, where he follows his calling as a minister in the Evangelical Church. Besides 8 volumes of poetry he has also completed 2 volumes of sermons, the first of which appeared in 1980 from the Liebenzeller Mission in Bad Liebenzell, near Stuttgart: INRI - JESUS VON NAZARETH, KOENIG DER JUDEN. The second volume, DIE WELT UND DER WELTUEBERWINDLER will appear this summer from the same publisher. His most recent books of poems are PRECEPTIONS (Elizabeth Press, New Rochelle, NY) , distributed by SPD, and To For Of In (Imprint Editions - available from Shearsman.).
SIMON PERCHIK is an attorney and a poet living in East Hampton, New York. He is currently writing an article on his experiences as an Assistant D.A. He has six books available from the Elizabeth Press (distributed by SPD in Berkeley, and Words Etc. in London) : The Club Fits Either Hand (1979, $5/12); Both Hands Screaming (1975, $8/16); Hands You Are Secretly Wearing (1972, $8/16); Which Hand Holds the Brother (1969, $4); Twenty Years of Hands (1966, $3); I Counted Only April (1964, $4).
JAMES L. WEIL is an American poet who lives in New Rochelle, N.Y.and for many years edited there the Elizabeth Press and Elizabeth magazine - both of which showed an admirably independent editorial course, and were issued in magnificently printed editions. Among his books are: YOUR FATHER (Elizabeth Press, 1973) - and ADVERSARY PROCEEDINGS, published by Martin Booth at Knotting, Bedfordshire MK44 lAF, England.
VASSILIS ZAMBARAS lives in Greece, but that is all the information I have at the moment.
