You Remain
behind those eyes
I see the abyss and the soul that commands it
unforgivingly
fierce you are in your individuality
unwaveringly you suppress nothing
you let yourself go and be all
at the same time
you are the admiral and crew of your own ship
while you sail the abyss
everything and everyone must succumb
either accept your presence
or risk the rejection of your eyes
eyes deeper than death
flashing blue
no compromises for you must be you
there is no compassion for anyone less
you will search the wide world for your soul mate
the universe expands behind those eyes
your soul is left near death
thirsty in your search for that one truth
but every face has lied to you
and every laugh rings shallowly of mirth
so dissatisfied you continue
unloved and unwanted you remain
in command of the abyss that feeds you.
