boil
American midwest my plentiful pain
God he cries out if you let me off
with this last one in the armpit
growing like slag I promise to follow
with definitely improved camera work
so much oil underfoot the land
is boiling over with damp richness
buffalo shoes anarak chairs and girls
who haven't heard of sex altogether
but plan ahead anyway as though
the quality of autumn rust coloured
fixing fences as close as they can set to Ohio
At night I take the other lines up with me
and place them strategically correct
in pairs of local confusion as birds
who find their dead places on the road
late spring young out of warm ruffles
flying along my eyes blink much these days
collision turning point subject matter
edges are as sharp as you find them
