I am 46 years of age, and am married to Ray. We have a daughter, Nikki, aged 8, who is an avid dancer, with lots of trophies! I have been writing poetry for many years, I have completed my first book, which is a collection of humorous verses mainly ‘aimed at women’ – I have had many of my poems published both at home and abroad alongside several anthologies.

I am a young writer living in the South East, leading a rather banal suburban life made interesting only by what mischief I can create; by the time of publication I will have begun studying English at university. My chief passions are for James Joyce and the music of The Smiths. Though I have always been an enthusiastic reader and writer, I have not been writing seriously for more than about a year and a half - however I have won prizes in some local competitions, and in the Foyle Young Poets Competition 2003, which spurred me to think I might make something of my work...
