Toothy grimace
Doomed to sup scrambled egg and soup -
Some price of mother’s dodgy genes;
My teeth are slowly breaking up,
Full of decay and amalgam.
The early bribes of dental trips,
Palmer violets as just desserts;
Or secret sugar sandwiches
To numb empty childhood caverns.
While I surrender golden crowns,
Abscess erupts in root canal;
I wish those cunning tooth fairies
would duly pay me back in kind.
.
With bite curtailed and bark unleashed,
Painful past has tripped me up;
While cheeky grins shines in the dark,
Chewy anger is all spat out.
