However you may be under a different bridge,
under this one you’re luminous and round,
watch-faced or moon-faced, split, on the silver side,
glowing right through me as I begin sprouting wires.
I have looked for you under the bridge of the curling stones,
under the oily bridge and under the fence
that believes it’s a bridge. You aren’t under any of those,
however you may be under a different bridge,
one made of shells and crowns and packs of cards,
coliseums and changing rooms, but you’d better not be
under my bridge wishing you were somewhere else.
