Guilt Guilt Guilt Guilt
Guilt, what is it? Guilt, what’s it mean? Guilt, can you hide it?
Guilt, can you face it?
Guilt can take you to many places.
We have all done things in our lives that have left us with a sense of guilt.
Guilt, we cannot deny it, we know what it feels like.
Guilt can come from nowhere.
Recently I felt guilt deep in my heart.
I felt guilty for making my bed.
I felt guilty for having a bath.
I felt guilty for having breakfast.
I felt guilty for having warm clothes.
I felt guilty for having a beautiful home.
I felt guilty for having two mobile phones.
I felt guilty for having money.
I felt guilty for not looking at the real world.
I felt guilty because the real world sucks. It really does.
Is it right to have it all but still want more, when others have nothing?
I went to church that day and thought and prayed about why I felt guilty.
It helped, but it carried on.
I went out that night as normal, doing voluntary work with
Homeless people.
That’s when reality sank in. I knew why I was feeling guilty.
I have it all, they have nothing.
I guess I had forgotten how cruel the world is.
If I could give what I have to everyone, I would.
As I said earlier, we have all had and still have feelings of guilt.
Nurture those feelings of guilt and maybe we will learn from them.
“Guilt stays with us but we can avoid having any more.”
