Forever will my hauntings break
The silences and so incite
The icy waters of this lake.
My lover's soul knows deep heartache
While I am fain to be contrite.
Forever will my hauntings break
Upon my consciousness, and make
Those ancient embers then ignite
The icy waters of this lake.
But for my long-dead lover's sake,
I'll walk these shores each moonless night,
Forever will my hauntings break
Across these waters till I take
Revenge upon the world despite
The icy waters of this lake.
These ancient haunted shores I'll shake,
From out its deeps I'll drown delight!
