Country Ways
Summer days, changed to good days,
Mapping out the route led to an uncertain gaze.
Looking out onto what we may convey,
We took our time remembering the survey,
Thinking about when we were ghoulish,
Mushrooms taught us not to be foolish,
Rabbits went to earth before our eyes,
Disappearing in speedy strides,
Moorhen could be seen among grasses,
Glimpses of red and black in passes,
“In for a penny, in for a pound”
What will be our destination this time round?
