Madison
Hands me Citronella
tells me "I love you"
my hair covered in pine
Sees the bandages like leaves in the yard
The dogs again, picks up what's broken
syringes in the trash, covers the needles
She closes those other veins completely
with eight foot tall yellow
monster flowers out back
low leaning arthritic
hands me her gun
says "take em all out"
She wants to create a blue garden
a haven with fish
a lighted path
Her eyes search for Delphinium.
