Borrowing each other
As if
there's no such thing as separation
you couldn't fit a whisper in the space between us
Another city
or another country
or just around the corner of the next street
Sometimes
I think we borrow each other
to take home and read like a library book
This time
I take out the book-mark
and show you the page I've reached
We compare notes
as if made of space
crossing the material divide and time
It's all
quite simple really
like being warm inside on a cold day

That's not a question I can seriously pursue
