Tony Jones
Billy
Although not born a liar
He perfected the art quite early
And frightened the neighbours
With his early childhood wit.
At school he impressed all
With his earthy tales of daring do
And passed five A levels (grade one)
But lost the certificates on the way home.
In later life he sailed through interviews
Securing jobs in quick succession
all better than the one before
And each one a job for life.
And then the illnesses struck,
all serious, all life threatening, terminal,
Until the inevitable happened,
He recovered.
