secondhand four by fours.
People who hunt foxes
are the kind of people
who believe
it is in the fox’s genes
to be hunted;
like travelling people
and asylum seekers.
People who hunt foxes
are the kind of people
who never read
Brer Fox at bedtime
to their children.
