She lives in a mirrorless room
because she casts a shadow.
The ice storm. The forgetting room.
The deep drug that sucks you
to the ocean floor.
The sudden veering from the hot dry sun.
So you say you wound the wound?
I saw you; it was too late to stop.
The snake is riding horseback.
It rides.
The wordfall. The occasional lark.
The fluent boat, the fluid boat...
