Death
Straightforward, tendency to shock,
with a brief, wholly predictable
and an approach, matter of fact.
Travels well, no preferences as such,
palaces, houses, mud-huts
all - deemed welcome.
Mystery persists like a cold war secret,
angelic status, heightens respect,
fear and resignation, brand unkindly.
Portrayed, as rather grim
given over to all that’s morbid,
shaded grey, friendless.
Loyal servant, faithful at the end
crowning each life’s achievement;
birth-partner, for the next dimension.
