Abroad
Anything goes when abroad.
All who come to these foreign parts –
all seem to change somehow
in dress and in attire,
in speech and in behaviour.
Even though food habits change,
one wants to hold on to the substance.
Yet, all seem to change somehow.They came, saying that from this point
onwards life would begin anew.
Dear ones, home and possessions,
all were left behind;
so much to call one back,
so many memories that divert.
Yet, all seem to change somehow.Anything goes when abroad.
Being seen to be phoney seems to hurt us all.
Yet, all seem to change somehow.
