Three Historic Issues of Poetry Review
Poetry Review is the Poetry Society's quarterly poetry magazine, founded in 1912. In addition to other issues which appear on this poetry magazines site (the very first issue from 1912, the Festival of Britain issue from 1951 and a more recent issue from 2004), we celebrate the radical history of this 100-year-old magazine by showing off three very different issues published in the 1960s, the 1970s and the 1980s. Digitised as part of the Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival, these include some fascinating poems, essays and reviews, not to mention a special "Poetry and Alcohol" issue from 1984.
