from the hot spring
watching the road
swept clean before him
Hurled from its
wings the light
cascaded The pistil
gleamed The scarab
waited tasting in
shadow the bright
inflorescence Its petals
rippled like the
plumes that slowly swayed
past it into the
white inhospitable plaza
and then stopped
