Falling when you do not expect them,
when you are lost and confused,
when you are surprised by happiness,
they come from passion as well as anger,
from the distress and pain of another
or your own.
They start out of anguish and fear,
from separation and loss,
gratitude and hope.
Inspiring words and music,
great art can prompt them;
they come when you pray.
Wherever they start from,
whenever they come,
they have no monetary price;
they are a human currency
- the price of grief,
- the sign of love.
