Editorial - Part One
This being our twenty-fifth issue and the last one of the twentieth century, we thought a special effort was required. So we are spoiling you with a special two part Borderlines.
The first Borderlines came out in the seventies, but it is only in the nineties that it has become a regular two issue a year magazine. We hope that this special double issue will help us to stride into the twenty-first century on a high note. We have published a large number of poets over the years and have seen some of them rise to great heights. We hope that we have given pleasure, satisfaction and encouragement and that your support will help us to continue to do so.
The Anglo-Welsh Poetry Society is a cross border group, based in the Shropshire/Montgomeryshire area, which aims to promote interest in the reading, writing and appreciation of poetry. For more information, contact the address below. Non-members may, of course, take out a subscription to Borderlines or submit poems. Ours is an open magazine accepting submissions from anyone anywhere. We have no axe to grind and try to keep an open mind. But, as is the case with most poetry magazines, we do receive many more submissions than we are able to use.
Submissions should be accompanied by a stamped, addressed envelope (or IRC) for our reply and the return of any unused material. Please write your name and address on the manuscript of each poem.
