JAMES BROCKWAY, born in Birmingham in 1916 and educated at London University, has lived in Holland since 1946, where he is English Books Critic of the Algemeen Handelsblad, Amsterdam, and a broadcaster on Dutch literature for Radio Nederland.
The reminiscences of ARTUR SCHNABEL, the distinguished Austrian pianist who died in 1951, form part of his book, My Life and Music, to be published shortly by Messrs Longman.
