As signs advise of low stocks
Towns fill with people
All ensuring they have enough
None convinced that a shortage
Would not ruin their lives
People speak on the news
Microphones make them babble
Interviewers can barely keep up
‘It’s an outrage!’
‘These workers need to get back!’
Pandemonium is an understatement
Now they’re out for blood
‘Force them to work!’
‘Tie them to their desks!’
‘What will we dunk in our tea now?’
