Poetry Magazines - The best collection of poetry magazines online - Simon Armitage

     Thank you to all our contributors and subscribers for your patience — yes, this is what should have been the Spring OWP and was due to appear in March or April. Apart from your editor’s temporary supineness, put it down to our (a) being “between computers” and (b) waiting for news of funds offered by West Midlands Arts to see us through the transition to independence from Redditch Library, following my retirement from the day job there.

     To whet your appetites and persuade you to continue to  subscribe, these are the poets whose work will be in the Late Summer issue 19, planned to appear in September:

     Liz Atkin, Suzanne Batty, Paul Burns, Ken Champion, Bruno D’Arcy, Geraldine Green, Joel Lane, Susan McCormick, Brendan McMahon, Chloe Meakin, Geoff Stevens, Maggie Sullivan, Rodney Wood, Howard Wight - a smaller number of poets, but I’m tending to include a larger selection of pieces from some of our writers. I’m also stepping up our type size - have you seen the price of glasses?

     Apologies are due to Chris Sewart, who will notice that his poem Location is in this issue — it appeared in our last issue with a scrambled beginning.

     I’m well into collecting for number 20, but do keep your submissions pouring in — no more than six poems, please, and don’t forget the SAE, in the absence of which you will get no reply unless your work is totally brilliant. Or send poems in an email (not separate attachments, please) and save stamps.
