We're in John's front room with the blow heater on
John and Jimmy have acoustic guitars
and I have my bass but no amplifier.
We can't play our gutars yet or agree on a name
but when the ask us to perform
on 'Top of the Pops' we'll turn it down.
John puts Donovan on the record player.
Jimmy says brilliant. Yes, says John,
better than the Stones. I'm not convinced.
John and Jimmy decide there and then
to be singer-songwriters.
Singer-songwriters don't need a bass-player.
I give it twenty minutes then go home.
