Altered heart
her eyes precise white
plant an Arctic kiss
it was hate at first sight
trying to transfer
some of her headache pain
into my head
dissatisfying conversation drones on
draining away down into the weeds
I told her
don’t you ever undress or
try to run naked
through my dreams any more
her laughter came back harsh gravel
the coccyx has invaded her eyes
sharded me into
shocked-midnight slivers
