Clean break
After the strife and the cold stuff you
I vacuumed him out of my life
withh my Dyson DCO7, Mk II.
The Dyson’s moans drowned out my own
as I watched his motes and beams fly round
the polycarbonate plastic drum.
I sucked the bugger in! I seized
the see-thru serpentine flexible hose,
sought him in every comer and crease.
And all the dirty things he said
were caught by the cyclone-action spin,
and filtered out. I wanted him dead -
Dust to dust. Smooth textured, fine.
I emptied him out on the compost heap, with the half finished bottle of wine.
