Helena and Hermia
Even the Serbians had Grandparents
And Godparents, and now
These younger Cousins, found nestling
The beautiful Kosovars
Organised into each other
Like cool and expensive cutlery. Ten
Thousands of perfectly polished spoons
Wrapped in white linen
Or a damp and delicate muslin
And buried here
Under the Balkans
On a Midsummer Night.
