Capture
I want to capture the music of the
spheres, the swans song, the sound
of one hand clapping.
I want to capture the feel of a
dragons vermilion scales, a
phoenix’s flame-riddled feathers, an
ebony witch’s cat.
I want to capture the smell of a
warm sea breeze off the coast of
Jamaica, tainted with fragrant
coconut and mango.
I want to capture the memory of
the first breath of a newborn baby,
the last fairytale of an
Indian grandmother.
I want to capture the taste of
thin air, the strongest aphrodisiac,
the white witch’s first potion.
I want to capture the silence of the
infinity of space, the deepest
darkest water, the
sullenest heaviest cloud.
I want to capture the feel of cool
water against hot skin, a happiness so
intense that it’s as if every star
shines just for
you.
