The sorcerer’s apprentice wriggled tamely, smiling complacently as he watched his master. He offered himself to the spiritual words that were about to burst forth. He did not resist, he swam into the future of the course.
The master confessed: “My mind is nothing now but a polyp, a sea anemone; I would say that my mind is nothing now but a liver of veal in the shape of a hand which an invisible butcher is pounding in vain.”
“O master,” says the sorcerer’s apprentice, “you are plagiarizing Huysmans.”
