Slick header bare shout
Of universal recognition
Whoop of apprehension
Host to life's raw light.
Volatile ego in soft skin
Human grape, angel fruit,
Lobbed into earth life
Balances of heart and head
Scales of senses, total known
Mystery of that alien
Lover's cry in broken light:
You shardglow of rainbow
From the dusk of other being.
Hail, grave-growth, clay-crusher,
Caliban of Aerial longings,
Hail here in your new dark.
