Welcome
"If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance."
- Bern Williams
Welcome to RP and to June, one of my favourite months. I love the aura and scent of June evenings. I’ve always liked the above quote and utterly agree with its sentiment. However, Jean-Paul Sartre runs it close: “To read a poem in January is as lovely as to go for a walk in June.”
Ah, the demise of our lovely page ‘Things That Make You Go…’these quotations would have fitted perfectly. It vanished through lack of contributions but I enjoyed it while it lasted.
I recently completed an interview about all things IDP. You can read it here: http://essentialwriters.com/indigo-dream-6391.htm. Sorry, it’s only online, so those without internet now have an excuse to visit their netted, webbed friend and ask for a favour.
Quite unbelievably, another new set of names in ‘The Box’ this month. Congrats to them; that’s five months voting and 20 different names. Will June be the month when someone enters for the second time?
June sees some superb publications from Indigo Dreams, including Eileen Carney Hulme’s The Space Between Rain and Geoff Steven’s Islands In The Blood. Poems from both collections are in this month’s issue and order details below the poems. Two collections not to be missed.
Enjoy your June RP and let me have your votes and comments in the usual way. I leave you with the darker side of Soxx: The side that finds the muddiest wet sand in Blue Anchor Bay then jumps, happily tri-colour, into our car. Love and Light, Ronnie G
