Nuala Ni ChonchĂșir’s poems and short stories have appeared in serval magazines including Poetry Ireland Review and Books Ireland. She is a founder member of Garters, a women’s writing group in Galway.
Jenny Clarkson’s work has appeared in various magazines. She is an editor of Dream Catcher and a workshop leader.
T F Griffin, a long-standing published poet, appeared first in A Rumoured City (Bloodaxe 1982, ed. by Douglas Dunn). Griffin’s latest collection is Cider Days published by Headland.
Ian McMillan is one of the most well-known and versatile writers in England today. A frequent performer he has achieved a wide and varied audience for his work. His latest poetry collection, Perfect Catch is published by Carcanet.
Ed Reiss is editor of Pennine Platform and lectures in Sociology at Bradford University.
Ted Warner is a long time member of the Phoenix Writers, Lincoln.
Merryn Williams is editor of The Interpreter’s House and is published by Rockingham.
Adrian Tellwright is an actor based in York and a regular contributor to Dream Catcher.
Ian Seed has a long list of publications: his latest The Stranger: Selected Pieces 1974-2000.
Julia Davis’ poems have appeared in Brando’s Hat, Pennine Platform and Links.
Nell Farrell has been published in Brando’s Hat and was a contributor to Dream Catcher 7.
Geraldine Shields is a member of Poetry Links and is working on a novel.
Stephen Paterson, previously a journalist, is a member of Poetry Links, and well known for his performance skills.
Annemarie Austin has had four collections from Bloodaxe, the latest Door Upon Door (2000).
Milner Place is a constant contributor to magazines. His major collection is In A Rare Time Of Rain (Chatto & Windus, 1994).
John Lindley is a member of Congleton Writers’ Forum and Manchester Poets. His first major collection, Stills from November Campaigns (Tarantula, 1998) was well received.
Chris Firth, fiction editor of Dream Catcher, received an Arts Council Writers Award (2000) to complete his book The Electroglade Tales. Other stories from the collection have appeared in Dream Catcher: ‘Birdcage Bar’ (issue 5) and ‘Tunnel’ (issue 8).
Three Canadian Poets:
John Terpstra, has published five collections. The Church Not Made With Hands (Wolsak &Wynn, 1998) is described by Don McKay as having “the toughness of maple, the compassion of cedar”.
Chris Pannell’s Sorry, I Spent Your Poem (watershed Books, 1999) his first collection, was presented as “Poetry...from the electric wastelands”. A further collection is planned for 2002. He’ll be reading later this year in England.
Barnadette Rule appeared in Dream Catcher 7. She has two collections: Gardening At The Mouth Of Hell ( West Meadow Press, 1996) and The Weight of Flames (St. Thomas Poetry Series, 1998). The former collection is described as “resonant with commonplace mysteries; they never shut but generously tease a reader to dream them on and out”.
David Harris is a writer from York, England.
Joe Warner is chair of Poetry Links and highly active in Lincoln's literary community. He has been published in Acumen and is a contributor to Dream Catcher 8.
James Manlow is a member of Derby City Writers with a recent poem appearing in The Rialto.
Mike Hoy has been published both in the UK and USA.
Jane Harland is a member of the Congleton Writers’ Forum.
Tim Goldthorpe belongs to the Spilsby Writers.
Stephanie Rimmington studies at Warwick University.
India Russell has been an actress and director. She has had poems in Acumen and Dream Catcher 8. She performs widely, reading at The Hay and Wye Festival the last two years.
John Gilham was featured in the Dream Catcher series of readings in 2000.
Emma-Jane Arkady has been published in Brando’s Hat and performed recently at the Ledbury Festival. She has a collection forthcoming from Arc.
Peter Lewin’s poems appear frequently in magazines such as The Rialto and The Reater. He is noted on the northern England poetry circuit as well as helping to edit Dream Catcher. A collection recently has been accepted for publication by Halfacrown, Hull.
Niall McGarth has appeared in Pearl (USA), The Honest Ulsterman, Books Ireland and Pennine Platform in this country.
Daithidh MacEochaidh, a contributor to many magazines over the years, is a long-standing writer for Dream Catcher with poems or stories in issues 3, 4, 6 and 7. His novel, Like A Dog To His Vomit, was published by Route (2000) and this year a collection of his poetry appeared in the anthology, A Pint of Tristram Shandy (Route).
Steven Waling is author of several collections and one of the editors of Brando’s Hat.
George Jefferies is an avid performer of his work in Lincoln, noted for his quirky humour.
William Park has received both a Gregory and Hawthornden Award. His poems have appeared in Stand, Poetry Review and The Observer.
Jennifer Brice has been an editor and a contributor to magazines over many years and read with poets such as Mimi Khalvati. She spear-headed the inaugural York Poetry Festival and founded York’s women writing group called Women & Words, editing two anthologies for the group before immigrating to New Zealand where she now lives.
Sean Bamforth is a member of the Dean Clough Writers, Halifax, England.
David Lightfoot is one of Lincolnshire’s best-known writers appearing Setting The Score (East Midland Arts Publication, 1999). He was the founding editor of Seam, with a novel, Winterman’s Company (Sunk Island Publishing, 1995) and two recent collections, Wounds Heal (Rockingham Press, 1996) and Last Round (Pikestaff Pamphlets, 1999). He is currently co-founder of The Arts First Poetry Workshop, Louth, and is adjudicating the Write Across East Lindsey Poetry and Short Story Competition.
Andy J. Campbell has been a consistent contributor to Dream Catcher from issue 4; appearing in a range of magazines and anthologies such as Raw Nerve, Razorblades, Axiom, Auslander and Poetechiciens.
Ahren Warner is a recent winner of a performance-based poetry competition. He contributed to Dream Catcher 8. As a student from Caistor Grammar School he is perhaps the youngest writer to be published in Dream Catcher.
Jim McCord is a Professor of English at Union College in New York State and a leader of creative writing courses.
Jade Smith had two poems in Dream Catcher 8 and is a member of the Dean Clough Writers.
Jo Pearson is a long-standing member of both the York Poetry Workshop and Dream Catcher Workshop founded in the same city. She is a regular contributor to Dream Catcher. A collection of hers appeared this year in A Pint Of Tristram Shandy (Route, 2001).
Peter Kenneth Rollings is an artist and illustrator living near Peterborough, England. More of his artwork can be seen at www.geocities.com/pkrollings and he has produced a collection of his work, available from the artist.
