She Wore Traces Of Honey Waterfall Smile
One sweet day of skies
Two children from different homes
Where no one is ever company
Left the old door
Of f its hinges.
Lets get out of this place
She said,
People say he’ll get
What’s coming to him.
They wondered at a painting
And sat talking,
About how one day they might
Still be there the same way.
He stands on a wise cliff,
Seagulls chirping into
A sunset whirlpool.
She sits near a river,
Hair flows like a distant figure
Surfing on a wave.
As two butterflies caught
In the same web,
They created a picture of how
It should look.
No one could find the two
That were going to turn
The arms of tine.
It became a vision
Of what they wanted,
Because they got bored
Of showing liberty.
They were to start
A modern realization,
Parks and lanes still whisper
About where they went.
Where they were,
Car lights chased after them
Day and night.
Did traces of joy
Hide under the clouds,
Every time they slept
With the print of her smile?
Walking over someone else’s memory,
She wore her neon skirt and
That bag of tricks.
He told her the lunatic moon
Must have been called after her,
But her smile was honey.
The perfume that she wore
Always left traces,
But her smile was like honey.
The tale is still alive
Even though they don’t
Need to run anymore.
