Editorial
Perhaps this Obsessed will become known as the Comic Issue - in the great tradition of the Red Issue and the famous Issue Thirteen - I believe this one is impossible to read and not laugh out loud. And we don’t normally do funny ha ha. Which is not to say, of course, that we’re not also offering some touching (well, they give me goosebumps) poems too. And I think we’re still an Ern Malley-free zone.
I would say that, wouldn’t I, but I believe what you are about to read is the best OWP this year: it’s got mice, career advice, Rhett Butler, holiday slides, muscular male poems, possibly drug-related ‘feminine’ / ‘relationship’ poems and poems about politics, showbiz, sex and leaving (in more ways than one). I’m crazy about their interactions and chimes.
