Wafts Asia into Hull. He turns. This year
Albert has ventured into sweet potato -
A line tucked in there by the Suffolk new.
At six o’clock (already the sun’s pale)
He snaps the padlock on the shed door, bends
To put on cycle-clips, then joins the roar
By now continuous along the bridge
Just overhead, feeding the A164
One way, and the other heading back to town.
