Flames illumine the monumental sky on the darkest day,
smoke surging in swift streams
along a communal procession to the stones
embodying ancient ancestral dreams.
The silence of a graveyard uplifts souls
sharing a common Comish sense of being together
this freezing evening strangely warmer for all the wintry weather.
Stars scatter fresh galaxies of lights
timeless as feelings of lovers in ecstatic communion.
The wind whistles through scarce trees like swarms of flights.
We watch the future homing in over tomorrow’s huge horizon.
Hands clap as in reverberate applause again and again.
Hearts beat with the insistent rhythm of driving rain.
We hold one another close in honeysweet unison.
