Susan Taylor
Caught Out
You bow your head
and
place it on my shoulder.
Not knowing how to respond,
I glance down at the floor,
could swear this deeply dyed carpet
suddenly softens to white
and
we are two snowwomen
who know there is water somewhere.
Susan Taylor lives on Dartmoor. She has self-assembled and published two volumes of her poetry since she last attracted a proper publisher more then 10 years ago for Rose Rent, a small collection edited by Carol Ann Duffy and published by Turret Books.
